No, Not "Everything" Is Possible

From Politics & Evangelical Theology :

"We do not create the world; we encounter the world. The cosmos existed prior to our arrival. We do not choose our parents, our place of birth, or our early social connections. We are born into a world that is not of our making. St. Paul described this fundamental feature of reality when he once told the Greek philosophers in Athens that God, the Lord of heaven and earth, “who made the world and everything in it” also “determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live” (Acts 17:24-26). His point is that the structure of the world and the history of the world (“times set for them”) are not ours to create or control. The cosmos is “ordered.” There are boundaries and laws that we cannot change; we must conform to them, not the other way around."
