Throw Granny Off The Cliff (Update)

On cue, the Obama campaign has released another advertisement on Romney/Ryan's Medicare plan.

I said in my previous post that their characterizations of the plan are "factually challenged," "an assertion wrapped in lies, delivered in malice." Here's the new ad:

Get the facts on Medicare: http://OFA.BO/p4epW6 Voiceover: "It's a promise that was made long ago. You work hard, pay in. Your Medicare benefits are guaranteed. But Mitt Romney would break that promise...replace your benefits with a voucher." "Insurance companies could just keep raising rates.

Yuval Levin at National Review Online has taken up the arduous task of demonstrating that every single assertion in this ad is a lie. Every. Single. One. I'll understand if you don't want to read his whole analysis. You may just be inclined to agree with me, and nod your head with a sigh. But I do recommend reading it, nonetheless. Levin went through the labor of writing it, and I think he should be rewarded by people actually reading it.
